The MyLao Group Story

MyLao Group was founded by Mr. Kong Chong Jee (Benny), a Singaporean entrepreneur whose journey began simply—as a backpacker exploring Laos. Captivated by the country's rich culture and natural beauty, he quickly fell in love with the destination and chose to lay down roots. What started as a single, small guesthouse has since blossomed into a dynamic, multi-sector enterprise operating across the country.

 

For over two decades, Benny has poured his passion into the Lao business landscape. Alongside co-founders Mr. Ninthara and Mr. Samnang Danou, the leadership team shares an unwavering commitment to developing ventures that genuinely benefit the country.

 

At the heart of MyLao Group is a core philosophy: to support the local people, elevate their livelihoods, and foster a culture of working and growing together. It is this deeply held intention and dedication to community empowerment that has driven the group's extraordinary growth and enduring success in Laos.

MyLao Group establishes its newest landmark attraction, MyLao Onsen. Located near the strategic Kuang Si Waterfall, this project introduces the first and only authentic onsen experience to Luang Prabang, offering premium relaxation and adventure activities fully immersed in nature.

The Next Step

Leveraging nearly 20 years of experience in the accommodation and hospitality sectors, the group expanded into B2B hospitality solutions by launching Seven Digital Hospitality Solution Provider. The company serves as a dedicated provider for both the supply and maintenance of commercial coffee machines, laundry machinery, linen equipment, and professional kitchen setups.

The Fully Steps of Green Journey

With our section in Green Journey Business growing from 20 E-Scooters to 200+ EV Fleet and Charging Stations. This led to the official launch of DiscoverLaos.EV, providing comprehensive EV rentals, sales, maintenance, and transportation services across three strategic hubs: Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and Vientiane.

MyBanLao Hotel

The Continuation of Success

After a long and successful journey in hospitality, the group closed MyLaoHome Hotel to establish MyBanLao Hotel. Set within a historical building, this new property features 60 rooms across 5 distinct room types, offering a 4-star certified facility with 5-star service standards. The hotel serves as a green power pioneer, integrating solar energy, implementing turtle conservation and eco-friendly tools, and utilizing a fully electric vehicle (EV) fleet for its operations.

DiscoverLaos.today

The New Era

Building on its established tour expertise, the group transitioned its physical tour desk into the digital space by launching DiscoverLaos.today. Operating as both an online and offline platform, it provides comprehensive tours and activity programs throughout Laos, successfully extending business operations from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng and Vientiane. At the same time Our Green Journey also Started Here. We launched Laos' first-ever EV rental service in Luang Prabang with a fleet of 20 scooters, pioneering sustainable travel.

The Beginning of the Journey 

MyLao Group began its journey with the establishment of MyLaoHome Hotel. Offering the authentic charm of a heritage house with 3-star standards, the hotel was highly successful, rapidly growing from 12 to 72 rooms and expanding into a full-service spa, restaurant, and café.
